Performances
As an experienced performing artist — in theatre, improvisation and music — I create and perform shibari pieces, particularly in BDSM dungeons and swinger clubs. These performances can also be adapted to other types of events, depending on the venue, audience and context.
Each performance is designed according to the venue, context and technical requirements of the event. It may draw on different aspects of my practice, including floor work, suspension, hashira or floating bamboo.
Unless the project requires a different format, a performance generally lasts between 30 and 45 minutes.
To allow enough time to develop the performance, work with my rope partner and prepare any necessary technical infrastructure, it is preferable to get in touch around three months before the event. This also allows the project to be adapted to your requirements, the venue and the intended audience.
Demonstrations
I also offer demonstrations, particularly in BDSM dungeons and swinger clubs, presenting shibari and explaining some of its technical, historical and safety-related aspects. This format can also be adapted to other types of events and audiences.
Unlike a performance, a demonstration has an educational dimension: the techniques used can be explained and placed within the broader context of shibari practice.
Depending on the chosen content, a demonstration can last from 45 minutes to two hours. It can also be combined with an introductory workshop, allowing participants to discover some of the fundamentals of shibari.
Fees and organisation
Fees are agreed on a case-by-case basis depending on the nature and duration of the event, the preparation involved and any technical requirements.
Travel expenses and, where necessary, accommodation costs may be added to the fee.
An invoice is issued for every booking.
